Printer Prints Strange Characters

If it prints strange characters then either you are using the wrong printer driver or the printer was interrupted half way through printing and is resuming that print job.

1.   Check the model of printer and the printer driver being used and see if they are compatible.

2.   If not then install the correct printer driver from the Windows Installation disks. Refer to your MS Windows manuals for instructions on how to do this.

3.   If the printer driver is correct for the printer then make sure that there are no jobs in the print queue.

If in Windows 95/98

4.   If there were any print jobs in the queue then reload the program and try to print a short report/invoice again. If not, close Windows, reboot the machine, and then try printing.

5.   If, after the above procedures have been tried, you have no success printing from Sage Line 50 then load up another program (e.g. Microsoft Wordpad if you are using Windows 95) and try to print from that. If that program also prints incorrectly then refer to your hardware documentation.
